If there’s one thing Wild Rose Country loves more than the Rocky Mountains, it’s dinosaurs!

From museums to campgrounds, there are several places where you can learn more about Alberta’s land before time, but Jurassic Forest is among the most fun!

Located in Gibbons, just north of Edmonton, this enchanted theme park has a mini-golf course, boardwalk trails and life-sized, animatronics hidden within the trees.

Described as a “prehistoric haven,” guests will find themselves surrounded by the wonders of nature and those who roamed the province long before humankind.

“Embark on paleontological adventures, and discover the secrets of ancient trails that wind through a lush forest,” they explain on their website.

“Whether you’re an aspiring paleontologist or seeking an adventure for the whole family, Jurassic Forest is a gateway to a world where history comes to life, creating memories that will last a lifetime.”

Hungry after your exploration?

In addition to the many creatures (both predator and prey), Jurassic Forest also has a concession where you can grab a bit to eat once you’ve seen all there is to see.

If however, you decide to bring your own food, that’s totally allowed too – they just asked that you clean up after yourselves!

If you’d like to check them out, visit their website for tickets!

There’s no place quite like it.
