It’s serene, crystal clear and, suitable for those who want to float a day away.

While it will still be cooler than your favourite public pool, Johnson Lake is actually one of the warmest lakes in the Canadian Rockies, according to Banff Lake Louise.

Unlike so many others in the area, this crystal clear destination is not fed by a glacier and offers a comfortable experience.

What’s more, if you’d like to make the most of your day, there are several hiking trails and paths all around it.

From wildflowers to ancient hoodoos, and a century-old mountain cabin, there’s so much to see and do, so plan to spend a whole day!

You’re in for plenty of sun and fun, as long as the weather cooperates.
