North America’s largest Joey restaurant is opening in a historical Toronto bank

What was once a bank within a historical Toronto building will now be home to the largest JOEY Restaurants location in North America. The beloved dining establishment will open its doors this November, offering an even more elevated experience. Here’s what to know.

Mark your calendars for November 14th as Toronto’s newest JOEY location is set to open its doors to the public.

Located within the historical Royal Bank building, the new location spans 19,000 sq ft, accommodating over 550 guests. This will be its 34th location.

“Our mission is to transform guest experiences at our flagship JOEY King Street location,” states Layne Krienke, President of JOEY Restaurant Group.

“As a beloved restaurant by Canadians, we’re thrilled to offer an even more elevated experience to Toronto’s downtown core. We look forward to welcoming families, friends, colleagues, and more to enjoy our space.”

What makes it different from its other locations?

Expect its deliciously creative culinary concepts, along with premium menu options, elegant private dining spaces, and a thoughtfully curated art collection.

According to the restaurant, this location promises to “redefine the dining experience with exclusive offerings.”

To add to its elevated experience, there are exclusive food and beverage offerings that can be found here:

  • Bespoke Champagne Trolley tableside service
  • Signature Wood-smoked Old Fashioned, smoked-to-order at the table
  • Elevated steak program featuring a 35-Day Dry-Aged Tomahawk.
  • A sommelier-selected reserve wine list, featuring one-of-a-kind bottles

Interior Design

As for its design, expect 30-foot ceilings and a stunning column-free space. Inside you’ll find a stunning wine wall, central bar and lounge. There are also 17-foot-tall olive trees that compliment the space.

There’s a dining area with flexible seating and large spaces for private events. For some added privacy, there are double height bronze mesh curtains and retractable glass walls, including TVs.

“Guests will find commissioned art pieces from North American artists such as Greg Miller, Drew Young and Valerie Capewell,” shares the restaurant.

The space offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with its rich colour palette of leather, walnut, ash, and bronze.
