A two-day K-pop and cosplay festival is coming to Calgary this Halloween

A two-day K-pop festival is making its way to Calgary this Halloween, with a full weekend of music, dance, and fan activities to check out. Jammy Con is taking over multiple spaces at the Winsport Event Centre, with different programming planned across both days, including a live concert from P1Harmony on Saturday night.

Here’s everything you need to know before heading to Jammy Con on Halloween weekend.

What to expect at Jammy Con

What is Jammy Con?

According to organizers, Jammy Con is a two-day K-pop festival and concert taking place on Halloween weekend. The event is designed as a space for K-pop fans, artists, and locals to come together and experience everything from live music and dance to shopping and workshops.

When is Jammy Con?

The festival will take place on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Saturday’s programming will run from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., while Sunday’s activities will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What’s happening on Saturday?

Saturday’s programming will span across all three spaces at WinSport, so there’s plenty to check out during the day.

Arena B will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where you’ll find the Vendor Market and Artist Alley, a Photo Booth and Game Zone, and a Prize Booth.

The Legacy Room will also open at 10 a.m. and have fan-focused activities and workshops running throughout the day, including a fan meet-up, relay dance challenges, a K-pop singalong, and crafts.

Later in the day, the Main Stage will open up, and the evening programming will kick off with the opening ceremony at the Cover Dance Concert, followed by P1Harmony taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.

What’s happening on Sunday?

According to organizers, Sunday will be focused on fan experiences. Arena B will still have the Vendor Market, Artist Alley, and Game Zones, with a scavenger hunt also happening throughout the day.

Over in the Legacy Room, there will be fan club meet-ups for first- to fifth-generation fans, K-Trivia, a K-pop singalong and a cosplay show.

The main stage will wrap up the weekend with an RPD Workshop from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by the public Random Play Dance from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Where is Jammy Con being hosted?

Jammy Con will be hosted at the WinSport Event Centre in Canada Olympic Park. A main stage will be set up in the event centre, while the vendor markets will be situated in Arena B. The Legacy Room will also host workshops, meet-ups, and trivia.

If you’re driving, free on-site parking will be available, and the venue recommends arriving early if you want a spot, especially for the Saturday concert.

How much are tickets?

Several ticket options are available, depending on how much of the festival you want to experience. Saturday festival passes that don’t include the concert are $35 for children and $45 for adults, while Sunday passes cost $20 for children and $30 for adults.

If you want to attend both days and catch the P1Harmony concert, the Ultimate Pass includes festival admission for both Saturday and Sunday, along with reserved seating for the Saturday concert. Prices range from $160 for Bronze to $400 for VVIP, with Silver, Gold, VIP, and Skybox Lounge options also available.

You can buy tickets directly on Jammy Con’s official website.

While you’re at WinSport, you can also check out Pumpkins After Dark, running until Oct. 31, and Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience, launching this winter.
