Hey, Toronto, what’s up?! Your group chat is popping off, and we’re here to keep the good times going. Welcome to another week of the Toronto Group Chat. This is your weekly rundown of the city’s biggest and hottest updates. Here, you’ll find all the stuff you actually want to share in your group chat. Every week, we’re dishing out five must-know highlights of what’s going on in the city or stories you need to know about.
Maybe people are already talking about it, or maybe you’ll start the conversation.
Check out what’s new in Toronto. Let’s get into it.
Hey LV, looks like you’re up next in Sephora’s plan to dominate Toronto. And we’re pretty happy about it. Signage has been spotted, and if the number of TikToks isn’t enough confirmation, we did find a few job postings from Sephora looking to hire for its newest location.
Based on a TikTok shared by creator @teagsintoronto, the new store appears to be located at 171 East Liberty St., in the former 8 Temple presentation gallery.
As for when it could open, there may already be a clue. One recent job posting says Sephora Canada is recruiting a seasonal associate for its Liberty Village store “to support peak holiday operations.”
While an official opening date has yet to be announced, that could suggest the new Sephora will welcome shoppers in time for the holiday season.
Since we’re already on the topic of shopping, Amazon Prime Day is here on Oct. 6 and 7. That means the best deals are available — especially beauty-related finds. And there are a lot.
Here are some of my fave finds right now, with 30 per cent off discounts:
KP Bump Eraser Scrub 8oz (unscented + scented) + KP Bump Eraser Scrub 10oz (unscented + coconut jar)
Ultra Gentle Cream-to-Foam Pure Facial Cleanser (6oz + 10oz)
If you still have some extra funds after your shopping spree, be sure to save that extra cash for your Lola Young tickets. She’s coming to Toronto next year as part of her Everything Begins tour.
Though listed on her website, the tickets for her Toronto shows have yet to be released or announced. That means Ticketmaster will be getting refreshed — daily.
From Broadway to Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre, the Tony Award-winning hit Oh, Mary! is coming to Toronto in 2027. It’s making its Canadian premiere next fall as part of the 2027/28 Off-Mirvish season.
“Join our email list for priority access to tickets and stay tuned for more details, because it’s going to be a Truly Great Day,” shares the announcement post on Instagram.
We already signed up. We’re not missing this one!
Hey, Toronto, your last picture-perfect sunset of the year, a.k.a. Torontohenge, is taking place on Oct. 25, 2026
It’s set to take place right at 6:18 p.m. Get those cameras ready!
And that’s about all we have for you this week, Toronto!
