Here’s how to celebrate International Women’s Day in Toronto

International Women’s Day is this weekend, March 8, 2025, and if you haven’t made plans, it’s time to. Around Toronto, there are plenty of festivities and pop-ups to attend, so grab your gals and get ready to celebrate!

According to the official International Women’s Day website, “International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8, honors the achievements of women across all aspects of life – social, economic, cultural, and political – while also advocating for gender equality.”

Here’s what to do for International Women’s Day around Toronto.

HER Market pop-ups

HER Market is popping up at Square One and Scarborough Town Centre this weekend. The markets will feature local women-owned businesses selling all kinds of goods and treats.

When: March 7 to 9, 2025
Where: Square One Shopping Centre, 100 City Centre Dr., and Scarborough Town Centre, 300 Borough Dr.
Cost: Free

International Women’s Day March

Stand with fellow women during Toronto’s International Women’s Day march!

The rally begins at 11 a.m. in the OISE auditorium at 252 Bloor St. W with the march beginning at 1 p.m. From there, the march will go south on Yonge St. to Gerrard St., and go west to Bay St. and head south on Bay St. to Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square.

When: March 8, 2025, rally at 11 a.m., march at 1 p.m.
Where: Starting at OISE auditorium, 252 Bloor St. W
Cost: Free

Toronto Raptors Women’s Empowerment Night

The Raptors take on the Washington Wizards at home on March 8 but the night is about more than just the game.

The evening is dedicated to women empowerment and honouring women within the franchise/fans. Tickets are still available starting at $54.

When: March 8, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Scotiabank Arena, 40 Bay St.
Cost: Free

Women’s Wellness pop-up

The Bisha Hotel will be hosting a pop-up wellness market in support of women-owned businesses. The best part? The experience comes with a complimentary facial, too!

Tickets are required, costing $5 per person.

When: March 9, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Bisha Hotel, Sky Suite 43rd Floor, 80 Blue Jays Way

Toronto Sceptres vs. Minnesota Frost

What better way to celebrate women than supporting Toronto’s PWHL team?

The Sceptres are taking on the Frost, and there are still some tickets up for grabs.

When: March 9, 2025, at 1 p.m.
Where: Coca-Cola Colosseum, 19 Nunavut Rd.
Tickets: $101.15+ per ticket

International Women’s Day Yoga Fundraiser

Flow for a good cause! 100% of proceeds from this yoga event at Hotel X’s sports club, 10XTO, will be donated to Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.

According to Hotel X, “The event will start with a 45-minute Vinyasa class as we take over our world-class tennis courts, encased in glass. Move seamlessly from pose to pose, building heat, flexibility, and focus. Whether you desire challenging yourself or finding inner peace, every breath will be a step towards growth.”

Yogis of all levels are welcome!
