Canadian brand known for its weighted blanket opens its first-ever pop-up store in Toronto

Toronto is getting another pop-up store for the season, and this time it’s all about sleep! Popular Canadian retailer Hush just opened its first ever store in Toronto, and here’s what you can expect.

Located at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the Hush Pop-Up store opens on November 2nd, and will occupy the space over the holidays until January. According to the company, this pop-up is an “ice-themed” one, and features an “experiential sensory Hush Room for visitors to immerse themselves and their senses and feel the cooling, calming and comforting sensation of Hush’s wide range of sleep products from its popular ‘Iced’ line.”

The brand, which is widely known for its weighted blankets, offers other sleep products like mattresses, pillows, black-out eye masks, and weighted robes. If their name sounds familiar to you, it’s because back in 2019, Hush appeared on TV show Dragons’ Den and earned “Most Epic Pitch” of the season!

“The holidays can be stressful, particularly shopping, which is why we wanted to give Canadians the opportunity to take a break and relax in a soothing space where they can truly experience what our innovative products have to offer,” said Aaron Spivak, co-founder of Hush. “The Hush Room will be a sensory-enhancing reprieve from the busy outside world.”

The store will also have their new hand-knit blankets, which they say can “help reduce stress and anxiety, induce sleep, and looks beautiful in the home.”

On-site embroidery service to personalize purchased products will also be available, as well as reclining chairs for testing the weighted blankets.

Basically, if you’re in Yorkdale and need a quiet break, this pop-up is the place to be.
