Hello, foodies! If you’re looking for some new restaurants to try out in Vancouver this month, you’ve come to the right place. We’re back with another roundup of the most talked about and anticipated restaurant openings across the city. And boy, does the lineup look good.
So let’s check it out! Here are 7 new restaurants to try in Vancouver this month.
The latest spot to open in the city is also at the top of our list. BLND TGER (Get it? No I’s… haha) Dumplings is the newest occupant in the old Mamie Taylor’s space, and they’ve completely redone things. Here you’ll find a wide range of both meat and vegan options, made fresh for you daily.
When: Now open!
Where: 251 E Georgia Street
Another very recent opening, Alimentaria comes from the same folks behind the beloved Chancho Tortilleria. This new concept is currently in its soft opening phase, as they prep a couple of other spaces inside their new Granville Island home base. Still, expect delicious drinks and a lovely (if somewhat short) food menu.
When: Now open! Check Tock to make a reservation
Where: 1596 Johnston Street
While this ambitious new Italian-Chinese fusion spot opened in the Shangri-La last month, we think they’ve finally worked out some of the kinks that came with opening. And, since this isn’t exactly a cheap option, now’s the time to go test it out for yourself.
When: Now open!
Where: 1115 Alberni Street
Operating out of the Mt. Pleasant mainstay Shiro Sushi, Yuzu focuses on tasty (and very cute) katsu sandwiches for you to enjoy. We’re suckers for sandwiches, so we definitely think this is worth checking out during a low-key lunch break or as a nice weekend picnic option.
When: Now open!
Where: 3096 Cambie Street
We can’t wait for this amazing looking Persian restaurant to open up in Kits. And luckily, it looks like we won’t have to wait that long! A recent Instagram post has said that they’re looking to start takeout service by the end of this week. Sign us up for a couple of entrees!
When: Slated to open by Sunday, July 25th
Where: 2272 West 4th Avenue
Meanwhile, this collaborative Greek eatery coming to Commercial Drive has locked in an opening day. Here, you can expect traditional Greek cuisine in a family-dining setting. Which, we must admit, is one of the best ways to enjoy a hot summer night.
When: Opens Tuesday, July 27th
Where: 1608 Commercial Drive
This bistro and grocer concept in Mount Pleasant caused quite a stir when news first broke, but they’ve more or less been radio silent for a couple of months. But, we’re eternal optimists, so we’re hoping that they’ll be ready to go before the month is out! If not, hey, we’ve got all of summer to look forward to it.
When: Slated to open summer 2021
Where: 3532 Commercial Street
