There’s a self guided hot chocolate trail in Ontario with boozy & festive creations

The holiday season is nothing without hot chocolate. That’s why you absolutely need to sip your way into the festive season at this special, self-guided hot chocolate trail in Niagara Falls.

The Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights kicks off later this month, featuring 51 nights of holiday family fun until January 7th, 2024. And of course, what’s the event without a little hot chocolate.

Fans of the chocolatey beverage can partake in a self-guided tour that takes them to 17 different stops with 23 fun and creative hot chocolate varieties – alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

These delicious concoctions are created by chocolatiers, chefs and mixologists at some of the Niagara area’s restaurants and bake shops.

Expect classic combinations with mint, orange and s’mores to more elaborate cocktails like Dulce De Leche or the Naughty But Nice Hot Chocolate made with flavoured marshmallows and eyeball gummies.

Last year’s stops included Jameson’s Pub & Cocktail Bar, Doc Magilligan’s Irish Pub, Red Ganache, Beavertails Pastries Clifton Hill, and Hershey’s Chocolate World.

For hours and a full list of stops, including the official map, you can check out the Winter Festival website. Pricing varies depending on the stop.

Explore Clifton Hill this winter and explore all the fun festive activities they have planned for the holiday season.
