Ontario has a real-life Santa Village with a ‘Candy Cane Express Train’

You don’t have to travel to the North Pole to step into the world of Old Saint Nick. In fact, you can pay a visit to Santa’s Village right here in Ontario.

Nestled in the gorgeous forest landscape of Muskoka, Santa’s Village is a Christmas-themed amusement park that’s open year-round for kids and families, but in the wintertime, it transforms into a charming festive experience known as Santafest, which kicks off on November 18.

Hosted by Santa and his elves, this annual event feels even more authentic thanks to its picturesque setting in the woods.

Complete with a snow-covered cottage for Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse-drawn wagon rides, and one million twinkling lights throughout the village, you’ll feel transported to a holiday storybook.

A daily tree-lighting ceremony takes place during Santafest, as well as a Christmas market with many vendors selling unique holiday gifts.

And if you’re truly a kid at heart, there are also rides like The Candy Cane Express Train, Santa’s Carousel, and The Ferris Wheel.

There are all kinds of things to see and do at Santafest, and you have until December 23rd to experience it.
