Saddle up for this dreamy sunset adventure. HorsePlay Niagara offers horseback riding experiences on the sandy shorelines of Lake Erie and you can even go for a sunset beach ride.

“Escape from the crowded city and discover the great outdoors in the beautiful Niagara Region with a 90-minute horseback ride along the beaches of Lake Erie,” the description says.

“The view of the sun setting as we horseback ride along the still waters of the lake and the abandoned quarry creates memories that will last a lifetime.”

If weather permits, you can even stop to give the horses a chance to cool off in the water while you capture the perfect photo.

You can take a ferry to a breathtaking secluded beach on an Ontario island

All of the tours are accompanied by a guide, who will be there to lead the group and point out all of the wildlife visible along the way, including deer grazing in the fields.

HorsePlay says that their animals are treated like family and the vast majority of them are rescue horses, “that have not only found a new home, but also a new purpose.”

You can meet all of their horses online, who have each been rehabilitated from the time they were rescued. Each of them has its own personality and is suited to riders of different skill levels, but no experience is required to have a safe and enjoyable ride.

The sunset beach ride can be booked as a private experience for as few as two people or a larger group of up to 25 people. You can also join an existing group with other riders and meet some new people.

Summers are all about sunsets on the beach, and why not enjoy the views on horseback instead?
