The most magical holiday experiences in Toronto

The holiday season is finally here in Toronto — at least it feels like it is. We’re in for a busy few weeks, filled with holiday cheer! If you’re like us and you’re eager to get a jump on all the holiday experiences happening in Toronto, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve compiled a list of holiday markets and events starting this November. Here’s what we have so far:

Whether you’re looking to shop for one-of-a-kind items, take part in Christmas tree lightings, or sip on holiday drinks, Toronto has got you covered with the best experiences around.

Now all you have to do is decide where you’d like to go first. And keep an eye out for more events that have yet to be announced:

The Distillery Winter Village

The Distillery Winter Village is kicking off the holiday season with its official tree lighting ceremony, and if you want to be there, it’s time to start planning. The annual event is happening on Thursday, Nov. 13, and will feature some exciting performances, yummy treats, and of course, plenty of holiday cheer.

Known as Canada’s Most Iconic Christmas Tree, the gorgeous structure will be lit at 6 p.m. sharp. Immediately following the lighting, The Tenors will perform for all guests in attendance.

When: Nov. 13, 2025, to Jan. 4, 2026, with tickets on sale now
Where: The Distillery Historic District — 55 Mill St.
Cost: $15+ per ticket

The Holiday Market at EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace

The Ritz-Carlton has brought the magic of the festive season to the EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace. Experience a luxurious holiday market with gorgeous winter decor, a seasonal menu and much more.

It’s inspired by traditional European holiday markets, bringing a touch of medieval charm to the city. Think wooden chalets with twinkling lights, handmade ornaments and seasonal treats. All four senses will be ignited, giving visitors a bit of nostalgia and connection with the season.

When: Until Dec. 31, 2025
Time: Mondays to Saturdays, 4 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Ritz-Carlton — 181 Wellington St. W.
Cost: $30+

Holiday Hills 2025

The holiday season is officially here, and the ultimate Christmas festival is coming back to Toronto this month. Toronto’s beloved Stackt market will transform into a winter wonderland for the holidays.

The dates have been set, and Holiday Hills returns to Stackt Market starting Nov. 14, 2025.

Expect a refreshed look at the beloved event, inspired by the charm of holiday tradition. That means nostalgic treats, vintage-inspired cocktails, and classic movies.

When: Nov. 14 to Dec. 28, 2025 (excluding Mondays)
Time: Noon to 10 p.m.
Where: Stackt Market — 28 Bathurst St.
Cost: Free

Eaton Centre Christmas Tree

Head on over to the Eaton Centre starting Nov. 14, every hour on the hour starting at 1 p.m., snow will fall around the tree as festive music plays.

According to CF Toronto Eaton Centre, “There are four uniquely inspiring light shows rotating throughout the day.”

Stop by and see this iconic Toronto experience for yourself.

When: From Nov. 14 to Dec. 31, 2025
Where: 220 Yonge St. (Inside mall)

WinterFest

WinterFest will be open on select dates from Nov. 15 to Jan. 3 and will have a nightly tree lighting ceremony! The family-friendly festivities will also have plenty of photo opportunities with special guests like Elf on the Shelf and Mrs. Claus, who will be hosting cookie decorating as well.

When: Select dates from Nov. 15, 2025, to Jan. 3, 2026
Where: 1 Canada’s Wonderland Dr.
Cost: $32+ per person

Santa Claus Parade

This year, the Parade will feature 27 hand-painted floats, celebrity clowns, thrilling marching bands and a ton of wonderful performances.

Keep an eye out for some of the new floats making their debut. There will be a Lego float, as well as creative expressions from Nintendo, Nutella, and Uncle Tetsu.

According to organizers, the parade will also feature appearances from the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, along with the Indigenous Creation Story.

Miracle Toronto

The one bar I look forward to every holiday season! Toronto’s original Christmas bar, Miracle Toronto, is back and bigger than ever with two new locations. Miracle on Bloor at Third Place returns, and now there’s Miracle on Harbourfront at Boxcar Social.

“Known for its kitschy wall-to-wall decor, picture-perfect cocktails, cheerful programming and cool Christmas vibes, Miracle is where the holiday spirit comes alive,” shares organizers.

They will continue their longstanding tradition of giving back, donating $1 from every drink sold to Nellie’s, a local nonprofit that provides shelter, education and advocacy for women and children in the GTA.

Miracle on Harbourfront

When: Nov. 20, until Dec. 31, 2025
Time: Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Boxcar Social — 235 Queens Quay W.

Miracle on Bloor

When: Nov. 14 to Dec. 29, 2025
Time: Mondays to Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to midnight., Thursdays and Fridays from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., Sundays from 2 p.m. to midnight.
Where: Third Place — 875 Bloor St. West

Riverside Holiday Market

Head to Toronto’s east end for the Riverside Holiday Market on Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ralph Thornton Community Centre. Shop from local vendors and enjoy free activities like a meet and greet with Santa and holiday crafts for kids. Enjoy the live music and get into the festive spirit with free live music.

When: Nov 23, 2025
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Ralph Thornton Community Centre — 765 Queen St. E.
Cost: FREE

Cavalcade of Lights – Tree lighting ceremony

Every year, the Cavalcade of Lights takes over Nathan Phillips Square with a dazzling array of holiday lights and offerings. According to the city, the square will be set aglow with thousands of energy-efficient twinkling lights, interactive displays, and festive décor around the beloved public skating rink.

On Nov. 29, everyone is welcome to join the opening night celebration and enjoy the musical performances, ice skating, and more. Expect an evening of festive activities, including a list of entertainment from multiple cultural backgrounds.

When: Nov. 29, 2025, to Jan. 7, 2026
Time: 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Nathan Phillips Square — 100 Queen St. W.
Cost: Free

We Love Willowdale Christmas Market

We Love Willowdale Christmas Market, a holiday event in North York, is returning to Toronto and bringing the magical season to the forefront with local artisans and food vendors.

Head over to Mel Lastman Square on Nov. 29, 2025, for a magical market experience under twinkly vintage lights. It’s hosted by NeighbourLink North York, raising funds to support the most vulnerable in the community.

When: Nov. 29, 2025
Time: 2 to 8 p.m., Festive tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.
