Here's when Toronto's iconic 114-foot Christmas tree and snow shows return

It’s timmmme! (You have to say that in a Mariah Carey voice.) Halloween has come and gone, and the holiday season is here. If you’re like me, you get excited for the holidays as soon as the calendar flips to November. Soon, the city of Toronto will be filled with seasonal markets, gorgeous light displays, and towering Christmas trees. Speaking of, the Eaton Centre’s famous 114-foot tree is taking centre stage soon, and here’s everything you need to know.

If you’ve never been to the Eaton Centre during the holidays, then you haven’t experienced the magic of the massive glowing Christmas tree and its snow shows. Every hour on the hour starting at 1 p.m. from Nov. 14 to Dec. 31, 2025, snow will fall around the tree as festive music plays. According to CF Toronto Eaton Centre, “There are four uniquely inspiring light shows rotating throughout the day.”
There’s a new addition to the holiday lineup at the Eaton Centre this year, too. CF Holiday Tree Portraits is the perfect way to get some holiday shots with family or a loved one. A professional photographer will be on site to capture a gorgeous snap of you with the 114-foot tree, starting at $10 ticket for two digital photos. If you want a printed copy, it can be added for an additional $8.
Hoping to meet Santa? Visits with Santa will run from Nov. 14 to Dec. 23 at all CF centres. Tickets cost $15 per person and include three digital photos.
There’s also the option for a Sensitive Santa visit, which runs on Sunday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 7 at CF Fairview Mall, CF Markville, CF Sherway Gardens, and CF Toronto Eaton Centre.
Reservations are required for all Santa visits and can be made on the centre’s website.
I hope this gets you excited for the holidays, Toronto!
