Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood is celebrating the holiday season with the return of its festive, annual experience, Holiday Magic. With a free outdoor concert and one-of-a-kind holiday light displays, here’s what to know about the thrilling event.
On Nov. 22, 2025, the Village of Yorkville Park and trees along Bloor Street will illuminate the night sky with its own holiday lighting and displays. It’s a scene to behold throughout the season, transforming the popular neighbourhood into a sparkly winter wonderland.
The experience not only includes the “Flick the Switch” lighting ceremony on Cumberland Street and the Village of Yorkville Park, but also offers a free outdoor concert.
“Bloor-Yorkville is delighted to once again kick off the holiday season with Holiday Magic, a cherished tradition that brings the community together through music and celebration,” says Rick Kaczmarek, Director of Marketing of the Bloor-Yorkville BIA. “Each year, we’re proud to celebrate the season while giving back and supporting important charitable initiatives that make a difference in our city.”
TV personality Rick Campanelli will host the evening, which will feature a fabulous live performance from two-time Juno Fan Choice Award nominee Shawn Hook.
Hook will deliver an exciting lineup of his top hits, like “Sound of Your Heart” and “Reminding Me” featuring Vanessa Hudgens. Stick around for the evening to marvel in the holiday magic — no pun intended.
But the fun doesn’t end there!
The festive tree and light display will stick around until Dec. 31, 2025, and musical programming will continue throughout the month of December.
Expect strolling carolers dressed in Victorian-era costumes with Yuletide sounds.
