Expected to premiere on Amazon’s IMDb TV in 2023, High School will detail life before the award shows and tours – when the pair just started making music, learning to get along and understanding who they were as individuals.
Set to start shooting Monday, March 21st in YYC- the series will star Seazynn and Railey Gilliland (of TikTok fame) as Tegan and Sara, Cobie Smulders (who most notably played Robin Scherbatsky in How I Met Your Mother) and Kyle Bornheimer (Marriage Story, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).

While it’s unclear where exactly they’ll be filming High School in Calgary, we can expect a ton of references to life in YYC and the grunge scene of the 90s which will be pretty cool to see – especially for those who were growing up around the same time.
In association with Plan B Entertainment and Amazon Studios, the cast and crew for Tegan and Sara’s new show will be in production until June 2nd, 2022 – so keep your eyes out! You never know who, or what else you’ll see in and around the city.
