Labour Day may have passed but summer isn’t over yet! The popular beaches will likely be pretty busy over the coming weeks as summer winds down, but there are some hidden spots you may have not heard of that will ensure peace and quiet. These are 6 hidden beaches in Ontario to enjoy before summer ends.

Willow Beach 

One of the more secluded spots along Lake Simcoe: Willow Beach.

These Sandy Shores are located within the Willow Beach Conservation Area. There are picnic tables and washroom facilities too, so you’re all set for the day.

Where: 1506 Metro Rd N, Willow Beach, ON

Horseshoe Beach

Horseshoe Beach is a bit of a hike up north but it’s totally worth it.

Around 11 and a half hours by car from Toronto, the beach is located in Pukaskwa National Park on the shore of Lake Superior.

There an accessible boardwalk from Hattie Cove Campground leads you to the beachfront area.

Where: ON-627, Heron Bay, ON

Christie Beach 

Grey County’s Christie Beach is serene and has everything you need.

Washroom facilities, parking and a picnic area are here but the crowds are not.

Where: End of Christie Beach Road, Thornbury ON

Presqu’ile Provincial Park Beach

The Muskoka area is crowded at the end of the summer as people flock to the popular cottage country to soak in the final moments.

This beach won’t bring those crowds though! The park is quiet and has a 2.5 KM stretch of clean sandy beach.

There are also 16 KM of trails and paths along the shorelines to check out!

Amberley Beach 

Along the Lake Huron shoreline in the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is where you’ll find this beach.

The area is described as natural and secluded, a perfect place to spend the day. Bring your furry friend along too, the beach is pet-friendly and has washrooms if you need them.

Where: 33739 Zion Rd, Goderich, ON 

Port Albert Beach 

The hamlet of Port Albert is home to an adorable sandy beach nestled along Lake Heron.

The white sand is relaxing and beautiful, a perfect stop just a quick drive north of Goderich.

Where: Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, ON N7A 3X9
