About a week ago, and just before the new public health restrictions were officially put in place, Playland announced that it was going to reopen this May. Well, they’re keeping that plan in place and opening this Saturday, but they need potential visitors to keep a few things in mind.

First off, the amusement park will have some serious guidelines and measures in place to prioritize public health and safety. This includes a significantly reduced capacity in the park and enhanced cleaning procedures. Also, face masks will be required in all lines and on all rides. However, this was already planned, and it’s more what Dr. Henry had to say on Monday that’s the update.

Because even though it would probably be a day trip, Dr. Henry has confirmed that people outside of the new, Lower Mainland Health Region should not be visiting the park until at least May 25th, when the current travel restrictions are set to end. If you need a refresher on those, you can get the rundown right here.

As for the activities at Playland, those are also staying the same since the reopening was announced. So, you’ll be able to check out pretty much every major ride in the park, from the wooden roller coaster to their latest additions.

Playland is also keeping their original schedule for which days they will be open. Throughout the month of May you can visit every Saturday and Sunday. Then, the park hopes to open for weekdays, and extend their hours, by the time June rolls around.

Have some safe fun out there, folks!
