Grab a box of tissues, people! Guess what we’re talking about today? Alright, you don’t have to guess. You read the title. It’s Norman Powell’s heart-wrenching goodbye letter to the Toronto Raptors.
In case you’re not up to speed yet, Powell has been traded to the Portland Trail Blazers after six years in the 6ix. We’re sure he’s going to continue crushing it in his new home, but before he left he took a touching stroll down memory lane.

The letter is divided into 11 beautifully-written sections. Each one is dedicated to a different facet of Powell’s feelings about the trade. He thanks his teammates and Toronto as a whole, and even Drake gets a shoutout! He also reflects on how far his journey has come and where it’s set to go.
One of the parts where we really felt a lump in our throat is his reflection on Kyle Lowry’s reaction to the news.
He also shared a punch-in-the-gut heartfelt note about how he feels about the Toronto fanbase.
