The first Toronto contestant is Chef Erica Karbelnik. This culinary wiz began her career as an apprentice at the prestigious ONE Restaurant in Yorkville. She honed her craft for years and is now the Executive Chef at Elmwood Spa. What an impressive resume!

Of course, she’s not the only chef repping T.O. this year. She’ll actually be competing against her husband, Josh Karbelnik, on the show. Ooohh the drama! This Toronto contestant has worked at a ton of restos over the years, but his current title is Chef de Cuisine at The Broadview Hotel. He’s a culinary school graduate with a resilient spirit who’s ready to take on his wife. Oh, and the other competitors too.
We don’t know which of these two homegrown contestants we’re rooting for harder. But either way, we know they’ll make Toronto proud.
