During the pandemic, we’ll bet that you or someone you know adopted a pet. And if you’ve found yourself cruising adoption sights throughout the past year you might have noticed some pretty unique pet names. We thought we’d take a peek at some of the most hilarious and oddly named dogs up for adoption around Seattle, so let’s take a look. Naturally, all these pooches are cute AF too!
Dylan O’Brien
First up we have Dylan O’Brien, a German Shepard puppy currently up for adoption in Redmond. If the name sounds familiar it’s because it’s the name of the actor known for his roles in Teen Wolf as well as Maze Runner. The only appropriate course of action here seems for Dylan to adopt Dylan…
Shirley Manson
Also in Redmond, we have Shirley Manson, who knew the lead singer of Garbage had turned into a dog? We kid but whoever named this mixed breed pup knows how to rock out. We just wonder if Shirley Manson likes listening to her namesake.
Booger
Not a bodily substance but rather a 25-pound Chihuahua and Labradoodle mix, Booger actually looks pretty cute. From his bio he’s had somewhat of a rough life, spending some hard time on the streets of Houston. So if you’re looking to have a Texan in your home, Booger might just be the dog for you.

IHOP
Honestly, why wouldn’t you name a pet after the International House of Pancakes? IHOP is a Great Pyrenees who had an unfortunate leg injury at a young age so he’ll always walk with a limp. Just imagine eating pancakes with your new limping BFF.
Halle Beary the Tripod
Hmm, Halle Beary, close but not quite Halle Berry plus the whole tripod part. Anyway, this Taiwanese Mountain Dog has had quite a life, beginning with losing her leg in a cougar trap in Taiwan. These days she is vibing as a tripod and looking for someone to love her and all her uniqueness.
Gentleman
What a fine little gentleman… Gentleman is small indeed as he’s a Shepard Mix puppy. Now his profile does state that he’s quite loud when he wants attention and also energetic but he’s a puppy after all. He’ll have to grow into that Gentleman status we suppose.
Tesla
Named after Nikola Tesla or Elon Musk’s iconic automobile? We may never know but we can tell you this is indeed a Boxer Mix and not an electric car. Tesla seems like a pretty great dog from her bio but keep in mind that she’s not a fan of children.
