Don’t panic, but it’s finally happening! Though it’s been no secret to the public that HBO’s upcoming series The Last Of Us would be filming here in Calgary, the exact location in where they would begin to shoot the show was a mystery… until today!

Now, before we tell you what we know, we want to preface this by saying that it’s so, so important that you be respectful while they’re here!

This is huge, not only for the city as a whole but for the creatives who are lucky enough to work with such an incredible network! Let’s make a good impression, folks. With great power comes great responsibility.

Anywho, If you live in and around the area you may already know this, but after months of anticipation this massive production actually kicked off outside of Lord Shaughnessy High School today, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, marking the first of many known places that stars Pedro Pascal (Mandalorian, Game of Thrones) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) will bring the popular video game to life.

Curiocity was sent an image of the release by Cody Cartier, a man living in the area who received a filming notice in his mailbox.

Lord Shaughnessy High School splits a set of fields with Central Memorial High School just off of Crowchild Trail in Calgary’s southwest quadrant.

For those who may not know, The Last Of Us is actually a live adaptation of the smash-hit released on the Playstation in 2013 and will follow Joel a smuggler tasked with escorting a young girl across a post-apocalyptic America.

If that doesn’t sound like quality content, we’re not sure what does.

Keep an eye out, Calgary! Things are getting real in the 403.
