This small town in BC is famous for its hot springs & world-class events

If you enjoy exploring small towns in BC, undoubtedly one of the most well-known is Harrison Hot Springs, and for good reason. Situated in the picturesque Harrison River Valley surrounded by ancient forests and emerald lakes, the town has something to offer everyone. Whether you’re into thrilling outdoor sports like skiing or axe-throwing, or prefer to unwind at their world-famous mineral hot springs. And the Valley’s history is just as intriguing as its recreational opportunities!

According to Tourism Harrison, European settlers are said to have ‘discovered’ the hot springs back in 1858, while on the hunt for gold, but the local Sts’ailes First Nations and Coast Salish peoples have revered them as a “healing place” for many years before.

Harrison is also acclaimed for its annual community events, which range from the Harrison Sunflower Festival to the upcoming Agassiz Fall Fair & Corn Festival. Visitors can also embark on the town’s popular Circle Farm Tour, a self-guided route that takes you to the best agritourism locations in the Harrison River Valley – from the Kilby Historic Site to acres of lavender fields, to the stunning Rainbow Falls.
