Or because the impeccable flower has been referenced in some of our favourite songs (we’re looking at you, Harry Styles). Well, whatever it is, there’s nothing better than this to cap off your summer. So no matter where you are in the country, pencil in a visit to one of these beautiful sunflower fields in Canada! Where: 1668 Highway 6, Hamilton, Ontario
This place is so Instagramable they’ve got a picture frame right in their sunflower field. Seriously, it’s the perfect spot to get that bright summer shot. Once you’ve snapped your picture, be sure to check out the apples, pumpkins, and hazelnut that the farm produces as well. Could this be an end-of-summer/beginning-of-fall paradise? We think so.
Where: 14309 Dixie Rd, Caledon, Ontario
These Ontario fields have quickly gained a reputation as one of the best flower-picking places in the province. Along with their aptly named Sunflower Kingdom, they’ve also got beautiful pick-your-own dahlias and a gorgeous corn field. Sunflowers are expected to be in peak bloom beginning August 25th, so be sure to book your trip then.
Where: 9365 10 Side Road, Milton, Ontario
This sunflower paradise has fields spanning as far as the eye can see. This spot recently got some social media attention, so if you’re hoping to book a visit here you should get on that fast. The beautiful farm is accepting visitors by appointment only, between 7 AM and 7 PM daily.
Where: 280011 Township Rd 162, Nanton, Alberta
You don’t even have to leave the big city to be able to visit this gorgeous sunflower field! Well, that’s if you’re in Calgary, of course. What used to be known as the Calgary Corn Maze is now known as the Calgary Farmyard and one of their biggest moves was putting a focus on sunflower fields. So, you know this is a seriously pretty spot.
Where: 1500 84th Street NE, Calgary, Alberta
You will not want to miss the beautiful sunflower festival in Chilliwack, B.C. It’s running from August 12th-September 7th this year and there are 10 acres of gorgeous floral fields to explore. Seriously, if your Insta feed is in need of some new content, this is the place to go.
Where: 41310 Yale Road, Chilliwack, British Columbia
Here’s another gorgeous sunflower festival that you won’t wanna miss! British Columbia sure knows what’s up in the sunflower world. Head over to Maan Farms for some of the most stunning sunflower fields out there. Plus, the spot has got berry picking, a winery, and even goat yoga on-site. Sounds like a great day to us!
Where: 790 Mckenzie Rd, Abbotsford, British Columbia
This place puts a whole new meaning into getting lost in the sunflower fields. Cause they’ve got an amazing maze to explore! You can fly a kit, interact with some butterflies, or just frolic around their gorgeous 5 acre fields. Of course, because of COVID-19, the spot is by appointment only.
