This picturesque BC city is offering FREE rent to new businesses from anywhere

The pandemic has forced people all over the world to get really creative. And one town in BC is taking that a step further. In fact, Grand Forks, BC is offering free rent to individuals interested in opening up a new business in downtown. So if you’re looking to move, Grand Forks might be your new home.

Sitting just north of the Canadian-U.S. border, in the Boundary Country region of the West Kootenay region of BC, this picturesque town is small in size but large in beauty. After wildfires, floods, and the pandemic, Grand Forks has been hurting. But they’re a strong city and ready to do what’s necessary to revive their downtown core. And part of that is offering new businesses six months of free rent on two-year leases. So while it’s not 100% free its pretty dang good.

And what makes it even better is that anyone is eligible, and that means you! So if you’re ready to open up shop and can commit to a two-year lease, this might be a good move. But you only have until September 4 to apply so get on it!

If you’d like to learn more you can click here. And we think this initiative is great and we hope to see more like it across the province. After all, we’d all like to see our communities and local economies thrive.
