Let’s go: The Grouse Grind is now open for the season & here’s what to know

Guess what, hiking enthusiasts? The iconic Grouse Grind in North Vancouver officially reopened for the season over the weekend, which means the wait to check out “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster” is finally over.

The Grouse Grind is open from 7 am to 7 pm daily as of Saturday, May 27th. And if that’s not exciting enough, this summer will also mark the first time that Grouse Mountain’s full calendar of events will be held since 2019!

The summer season also sees the return of Grouse Mountain’s popular Race Series, which includes the Multi Grouse Grind Challenge and the popular Mountain Run.

Below are returning events visitors can look forward to:

  • Seek The Peak – Saturday, June 10th
  • Multi Grouse Grind Challenge – Wednesday, June 21st
  • Grouse Grind Mountain Run – Saturday, August 26th

Want to get the best bang for your buck on the mountain this year? Consider splurging on a Grouse Mountain Annual Pass for $229, which includes unlimited access to the Skyride and almost $200 in added benefits.

Otherwise, there’s always regular mountain admission (roundtrip ticket + mountaintop activities) for $59 for BC residents.

So there you have it, Vancouver. Don’t forget to check current mountain conditions before you head over – happy “grinding!” Who knows, with a lot of practice and perseverance, you might just end up on one of the leader boards
