Groundhog Day is here and Phil has spoken his spring predictions

February 2nd is a day to look forward to because it happens again and again and again… No, we’re just kidding, none of us will be getting stuck in the 1993 world of Groundhog Day. We hope anyway. But Punxsutawney Phil has spoken about his predictions for spring this year.

So what’s the deal is it going to stay cold? Is spring just around the corner?

This year, Phil did not see his shadow, and says “An early Spring is on the way!”

Although we are excited, it is important for us to remember that Phil is actually only right about 40% of the time, and not only that but Washington is known to have some pretty unpredictable spring weather!

Regardless it’s great to see that this strange and fuzzy American tradition is still going strong.

It’s also a great opportunity to watch the movie of the same name because hey, February 2nd only happens once a year.

Plus, the days are getting longer in Seattle, and we will hopefully be seeing more sunshine!

Have a great weekend, Seattle.
