Popular Vancouver taco shop to open a new location in North Vancouver this month

When it comes to finding some of the best tacos (and taco deals) in the city, it’s hard to beat Gringo. The OG back-alley taco shop in Gastown known for its tropical, laidback vibe is getting a new location in North Vancouver, and you don’t have long to wait before checking it out!

The vibrant new spot joins locations in Gastown and on Davie Street, and will feature 1500 square feet of similar vibes, 80s and 90s tunes, and Gringo’s signature menu of tacos, ‘dillas, burritos and bowls.

Here are the popular varieties diners can choose from at all three locations:

Encino (roasted chicken, cabbage, ranch, and fried onions)
Wilbur (Mazatlan-style pork butt, and pickled onions)
Kung Fu (Kung Pao-marinated tofu, vegan spicy mayo, lime slaw, green onions, and sesame seeds)
Beany Baby (refried beans, cabbage, Picante pineapple salsa, and tortilla chips)
Austin (saucy smokey Angus beef, and slaw, corn chips)

There will also be a 17-seat patio where guests can soak up the spring and summer sun!

In terms of sips, diners can enjoy everything from local beers, tequila, and mezcal to Micheladas and mocktails.

Opening & info

The North Vancouver location will officially open its doors on May 14th, and will operate from noon to midnight daily. Stay tuned for more details as they come, including Gringo Lonsdale’s exclusive new menu items!
