Let the games begin: Toronto’s newest arcade bar is opening on King Street

The time has come! King Street’s newest food and entertainment destination GRETA Bar is officially opening its doors this month and here’s when.

Calgary’s GRETA Bar is opening its first Toronto location this April 26th, 2024.

The chain announced the news via Instagram on Tuesday.

It’s located at 590 King Street W at Portland St, taking over a two-floor 12,500-square-feet venue.

It’ll be home to over 50 arcade games, state-of-the-art interactive experiences, and a casual sit-down dining space.

Hungry? Well, you will be.

They’ll be cooking up fresh, locally-sourced street food inspired by global flavours.

And as for drinks, you can refresh that pallet with a selection of curated cocktails and local craft beers.

During weekends, it’ll host Toronto’s top DJs too, keeping you in the right mood all night long.

“We’ve become a go-to destination in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver over the past five years, and now we can’t wait to bring the full GRETA experience to Toronto,” said Casey Greabeiel, Co-Founder and Vice President of Operations, back in December.

“The King and Portland location is perfect for hosting cutting-edge games, a restaurant, and a vibrant dance floor – all under one roof. We envision GRETA as an adult choose-your-own-adventure experience.”

GRETA’s first launched in Calgary back in 2018, then opened in Edmonton in 2019 before opening in Vancouver back in 2022.

Welcome to the city, GRETA! We’re happy to have you.
