King Street is about to get A LOT more fun next year. New food and entertainment destination GRETA Bar is expanding across the country, bringing its arcade games, street food creations, and more to Toronto.

Calgary’s GRETA Bar is opening its first Toronto location in spring 2024. It’ll be located at 590 King Street W at Portland, taking over a two floor 12,500-square-feet venue.

The property itself is a historic 1896 heritage building with an industrial design and original brick and beam architecture.

According to the bar, permanent art installations by local street artists will be added to bring a fun and lively vibe to the space.

It’ll be home to over 50 arcade games, state-of-the-art interactive experiences, and a casual sit-down dining space.

They’ll be cooking up fresh, locally-sourced street food inspired by global flavors. And as for drinks, you can expect a selection of curated cocktails and local craft beers.

You’ll want to hang around during weekend nights as it’ll host Toronto’s top DJs.

“We’ve become a go-to destination in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver over the past five years, and now we can’t wait to bring the full GRETA experience to Toronto,” said Casey Greabeiel, Co-Founder and Vice President of Operations.

“The King and Portland location is perfect for hosting cutting-edge games, a restaurant, and a vibrant dance floor – all under one roof. We envision GRETA as an adult choose-your-own-adventure experience.”

GRETA’s first launched in Calgary back in 2018, then opened in Edmonton in 2019 before opening in Vancouver back in 2022.

The Toronto location will be GRETA’s fourth and largest establishment.
