Toronto is getting an epic 4-day outdoor dance party this month

The start of warm weather and in-person festivals calls for a celebration in Toronto, and what better way to do that than a big collective happy dance? Green Space Festival is back in Toronto for Pride Month and it’s a free, all-ages dance party where everyone is welcome.

The best in drag and DJ talent will provide the entertainment and soundtrack for the four-day event, which will run from June 23 to 26.

The dance parties are described as “the best alfresco parties with enticing music, queery performances, delicious food and drinks, and a whole lot of love.”

“With an exceptional lineup of world-class DJs, legendary performers, international and local drag queen royalty and more, this festival is a prominent and dominant feature of pride month festivities in Toronto.”

Green Space is in support of The 519, a city-run organization dedicated to the “health, happiness, and full participation” of the LGBTQ2S+ community, according to its website.

All of the funds raised through the festival support The 519 and its year-round programs.

Each day of the festival has a different theme, starting with Starry Night on Thursday, June 23, followed by One World: Afro House Edition, Lipstick Jungle, and Treehouse Party.

The event will be held at Barbara Hall Park, which is a green space on Church St north of Wellesley St East.

The park also has a fenced-in splash pad where you can cool off after you bust a move.

There’s so much fun to be had during Pride Month in Toronto, including a free pop-up drag picnic and all kinds of street-wide events, rallies, and more.
