It’s finally happening! Pride is making an in-person comeback in Toronto this year. There are so many Pride events in Toronto that you won’t want to miss, including day parties, street festivals, rallies, and much-needed celebrations of love and togetherness that the city has been missing. The grand finale will of course be the Pride Parade, which will have 200,000 participants this year. We can hardly wait!

Here are 17 of the best Pride events in Toronto in 2022, so you can mark them in your calendar and start counting down the days.

PARTIES & PERFORMANCES

Pride Month Kickoff Party

Stackt Market will transform into a celebration of all things Pride to kick off the month of June. The event will feature epic programming, events, art installations, and musical performances celebrating Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community. Get ready to dance, eat, shop, and support the city’s 2SLGBTQ+ artists and creators.

“The Fierce & The Reckless” Pride 2022 Kick Off Party

Kick off Pride Month with a bang at this fierce and fabulous event. You’ll be delighted by old-school glam, drag, and ballroom beats, and be sure to wear your best fierce but reckless party look for the occasion. Especially if you want to enter the mini-ball and get a perfect 10 from the judges.

Cabana Pool Party: Pride 2022

Pride Toronto’s annual pool party is back this June with an extra-special lineup of drag performers. The event will be headlined by Symone of RuPaul’s Drag Race who will surely keep you entertained as you bask in the sun, sip drinks, and celebrate Pride.

Til Sunset: The Jam Down

This day party will take place at Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands and it’ll be a jam like no other. Munch on delicious jerk chicken while you dance the day away and enjoy performances by some of the best DJs and performers in the city. Your ticket includes transportation via shuttle and be sure to watch the forecast because this event is rain or shine.

Sugarland Festival

A music festival is coming to the city during Pride Month. The event, called SugarLand Festival, will be putting on a one-day festival on Toronto’s Sugar Beach called Let There Be House. The festival is put on by Prism Events, Canada’s largest gay event production company, and is described as a safe and inclusive space for all members of the LGBTQ2S+ community.

Trans Rally & March

Described as one of the largest and most exciting Pride events in the world, the Trans Rally & March is dedicated to trans and non-binary individuals. Come out and show Toronto’s trans and non-binary folks some love!

Dyke Rally & Dyke March

This annual event is finally returning to an in-person format this year. The rally and march is a dyke and lesbian-centered space that honours Toronto’s dyke community.

Pride Parade

After two long years, Toronto’s world-famous Pride Parade will take place for its 41st in-person edition this June. Celebrate how far Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community has come and throw on your rainbow colours for this massive celebration of love. There will be over 200 contingents and over 200,000 marchers in this year’s parade, so needless to say, it will be as big and beautiful as ever.

Street Fair

A multitude of vendors, artisans, and local organizations will take over The Village during Festival Weekend. Come together in celebration of togetherness and support for the community and most importantly, have fun! Plus, you’ll want to check out the Wellness Zone, Art Zone, and Food Zone.
