As we near the end of 2022, Google has shared this year’s top trending Search terms, questions, and moments in Canada. Like all of us, you’ve most likely used Google for absolutely everything, from the most shocking events to “how to’s”. Here’s a look at what Canadians Googled this past year.
According to Google, 2022’s Search trends showed that Canadians were “ready to come back together to share meaningful experiences, both big and small.” Topics included the situation in Ukraine, all the goss about Wordle and pop culture drama.
Though many of the searches revolved around international conversations like the passing of Queen Elizabeth and the U.S. midterm elections, a number of top stories were Canadian, including the reopening of the Canadian National Exhibition AKA The Ex in Toronto.
