Here’s when this iconic Vancouver restaurant will open in Toronto

If you’ve been waiting for more details surrounding the opening of the iconic Vancouver restaurant, Black+Blue in downtown Toronto, you’ve come to the right place. Glowbal Restaurant Group said a new Black+Blue location is set to open in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District this week.

Toronto can enjoy Black+Blue, Canada’s premier steak dining experience, and Glowbal Restaurant Group’s flagship restaurant, once it opens its doors in the city’s Financial District at 130 King Street W. The award-winning Vancouver-based restaurant will open its first Ontario restaurant on April 20th, 2023.

The restaurant group confirmed the news to Curiocity and shared details as to what guests can expect when it opens.

Black+Blue occupies 9,000 square feet of two-story space with a 2,000-square-foot outdoor patio, perfect for the summer. And its interior is designed by hospitality design firm Navigate Design.

As for the menu, you can expect a focus on classic steakhouse offerings with a twist, and the world’s most premium cuts of meat, overseen by Executive Chef Morgan Bellis.

Menu offerings include Dry-Aged Beef, Kobe Beef Certified (one of the only license holders in Canada to sell certified Japanese Kobe Beef), Japanese A5 Wagyu, Seasonal Seafood, Raw Bar and Caviar, and Classic Steakhouse starters and sides, just to name a few.

The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner, as well as Happy Hour where it will have its own special menu. On top of that, the restaurant plans to introduce weekend brunch shortly after it officially opens.

“What better way to mark our 20th anniversary than by returning home to Toronto where it all started. After 20 years, we’ve come full circle” said Glowbal Restaurant Group CEO Emad Yacoub, earlier this year. “We’re also excited to be able to add even more talent to an already all-star back-of-house team that works across all our restaurants.”

Glowbal Group has several established Vancouver restaurants that include Glowbal, Coast, Italian Kitchen, Five Sails, and Black+Blue.

Voted as one of the top 10% of restaurants worldwide, Black+Blue is a classic steakhouse and has become a staple in Vancouver since its opening. We’re definitely getting excited about this one!

We will see ya’ll there when they officially open doors to the public this Thursday.
