Get ready to fly down a former Olympic skihill in Calgary

What does Calgary have to offer during the snow season? Barreling down an icy hill that was formerly used during the 1988 Winter Olympics is definitely up there.
With Servus Tube Park returning this winter, you and the fam can get caught up in all the action yourself. Get ready to fly!
Tickets are only $25 for adults and include a snow tube. They go on sale starting Wednesday, Dec. 3, and all the action starts on the hill on Dec. 19.
So grab a helmet and get ready to slip and slide your way down Servus Tube Park this season. It’s one of the city’s most beloved winter activities.
What to expect
Your ticket includes a snow tube and access to the hill at WinSport. It’s time to gather family and friends and hit the hill!
You can experience the thrill of snow tubing right here in Calgary by ripping down a steep hill this season. The tube park requires no prior skill, so anyone can take part in the fun.
It’s located on the east side of Canada Olympic Park and is one of the longest urban tube parks in Western Canada. Two hundred metres long with an eight-lane course, the spectacular views of Calgary alone will make you want to hop into these green donut-shaped tubes and fly down the hill.
This high-speed activity is bound to make you feel like a kid again — and you can easily go back up the hill for another go. WinSport’s magic carpet will get you back up to the top in no time!
That’s a win-win for tubers young and old. You can spend less time climbing hills and more moments of rip-roaring fun at Servus Tube Park.
Exciting changes this year
WinSport is also announcing a series of changes to Servus Tube Park for the season. A new parking lot and entrance will be part of the experience for all tubers this year. Guests looking to access the hill can do so via Piita Rise SW, off of Na’a Drive SW. They ask that visitors “stay in their own lane” from the beginning by avoiding the Day Lodge as a park entryway.
Tickets for required time slots will be available for purchase beginning on Friday, Dec. 3, on the WinSport website.
It’s totally tubular, man — give ‘er a go this season!
