Attention, book lovers. If you’re looking for books to read or add to your collection, read on. Seattle has plenty of great bookstores, but you can never go wrong with the library! Especially when they’re having a couple of used book sales this April, with books at $4 or less.
The sales are being put on by the Friends of The Seattle Public Library, a non profit, grassroots organization dedicated to elevating the Library and inspiring the love of reading in local communities.

“We’re celebrating Earth Day all month! Join us in working towards a cleaner planet with the three Rs: READuce, reuse and recycle,” states their event website.
“We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 and Thursday, April 18th, 2024 between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.! Used book donations are also welcome at both events”
As for costs, children’s books are $2, $3 for paperbacks and $4 for hard covers. Additionally, members can choose two free books during this event.
There is also Pop Up Used Book Sales event coming this month. This will take place on Saturday, April 20th between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the High Point Branch (3411 SW Raymond St, Seattle).
Of note, credit cards only are accepted at the sales.
