There’s a massive holiday market lighting up this lakeside Ontario town

‘Tis the season for doing all the fun, festive activities! Friday Harbour, a four-season 600-acre resort along the water in Innisfil, is just 70 km north of Toronto, and its 2025 holiday market is a perfect reason to escape the city for an evening. Starting on Friday, Nov. 21, this market will run on weekends and select dates until Dec. 28, 2025.

Friday Harbour’s Holiday Market is inspired by traditional European holiday markets, meaning you’ll feel like you’ve travelled somewhere much further away.

The market will have a 40-foot Christmas tree, perfect for photo opportunities, super cozy chalet-style cabins to lounge in, and festive lights. Of course, no market is complete without local vendors, so get ready to do a little shopping.

Speaking of photo opportunities, Santa Claus will be in attendance, too.

Rudolph’s Lounge and Frosty’s Food Cabin will also be open for business, where you can grab a warm holiday beverage or a yummy treat.

Admission to the market is free, making it a great place to take the family or to hit up for a date night.

The market’s hours are from noon to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. For the week of Christmas, the schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, Dec. 22: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 23: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 24: noon to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 25: Closed
  • Friday, Dec. 26: Closed
  • Saturday, Dec. 27: noon to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 28: noon to 6 p.m.

The resort’s Lake Club restaurant will also have a special holiday menu and seasonal beverages if you’d like to sit down for dinner.

While you’re more than welcome to book a room at Friday Harbour, the Promenade, where the holiday market is being held, is open to the public.

The holidays are coming, and we hope you’re as excited as we are!
