According to Escape pour la vie, the special day will take place at Espace 67 in Parc Jean-Drapeau.

“the legendary Diane Dufresne will lend her unique voice to a song as a prelude to this celestial show. She will be accompanied by a pre-recorded performance by the Orchestre Métropolitain, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin,” Escape pour la vie continued.

That’s not all, the main stage will welcome DJ Champion and host Sophie Fouron.

Escape pour la vie details that the Espace 67 stage will welcome Laurie Rousseau-Nepton, Innu astrophysicist and professor at the Dunlap Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics to explain the eclipse!

Two First Peoples’ knowledge of solar eclipses will also be demonstrated through illustrations by visual artist Isadora and music by composer Martin Roy.

Starting at 11:00 AM, the public is invited to arrive, with free protective eclipse eyeglasses available on the day.

There will also be food trucks on site, a sugar shack, hot drinks and more.

Parking may be limited so it is recommended to take transit to Jean-Drapeau metro station if possible.

The program will unfold rain or shine, so dress warmly.
