No tipping, no alcohol, no problem! Free Spirit, located in the east end of Toronto, is a new place to enjoy non-alcoholic cocktails in the city. The non-alcoholic cocktail bar and restaurant is among the first of its kind in the area and requires no tipping!

Free Spirit can be found inside the Art Gallery at Riverdale Hub on Gerrard Street East.
The space is described as a “century old building was renovated over a decade ago to become the “greenest building” in East Toronto.”
There’s a green roof that provides ingredients for the restaurant and relieves pressure on local storm water systems, solar panels in multiple locations to heat water and low energy appliances in the kitchen and bar.
If all of that wasn’t interesting enough, Free Spirit has taken on another unique concept – no tipping.
According to their website, “Our staff are paid a living wage and guests are not required to tip.”

Plus, there’s a whole list of spirit free beers and wines.
If you’re hungry be sure to order some food such as the Veggies Nachos, Charcuterie Board, Nicoise Salad or Flatbread to name a few.
Free Spirit opened to the public on April 23rd, meaning you can check it out now, open Tuesday-Saturday weekly.
