Fort Edmonton Park is one of the city’s best attractions, and it’s opening for the season the weekend! It is, after all, a classic way to spend a day, made even better with those massive renovations that only finished last year.
Only opening for the first time in years last July, Fort Edmonton Park had to have a shortened summer season in 2021. That’s not the case this year though, as the attraction has chosen May 21st to open its door once more! Need a refresher on what you can expect during a visit? We’ve got you covered.

The Midway at the park is maybe the most noticeable change, adding a new Ferris Wheel, a funhouse, and a new attraction called the ‘Cabinet of Curios’. Meanwhile, an entirely new signature exhibit- The Indigenous Peoples Experience, also opened its doors for the first time ever last summer.
Of course, if you work up an appetite exploring the park, there are a ton of cafes, restaurants and more to enjoy a meal in. Basically, it’s an entire day’s worth of fun, and now we can start planning our first visit!
We’re just treating this as a reminder of all the fun we’re going to have around the city this summer. We hope you’re in the same boat!
