A huge food truck fest returns to downtown Vancouver this week

We’ll be the first to admit that food trucks have a power over us in a way that few other things do. We’ll be walking down the street, minding our own business… then BAM! We’ve got a dish in each hand, without knowing what happened. We’re fine with it though, which is why we’re excited for the return of Street Food City to Vancouver.

Now in its tenth year, Street Food City is one of Dine Out Vancouver’s most notable events to attend. It has to be, since the city’s best and biggest names in the food truck scene will be hanging out in one convenient location- šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square near the Vancouver Art Gallery.

This year’s lineup focuses on a global perspective, so expect everything from grilled cheese to perogies to laksa. Right now, there are a dozen different food trucks set to participate in Street Food City, but we wouldn’t be surprised if more joined in before the weekend.

Now, all we need to do is pray that the rain lets up, so we can enjoy our pick at the tented picnic tables that will be on location. And then our next pick, and the next one… yeah, we’re gonna have to go on a serious walk after our visit, but we’re ready.

We hope that you are too!

When: Saturday, January 15th to Sunday, January 23rd
Where: šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square
