This low-cost airline just announced a new base in Calgary & they’re hiring

With so many places to see across the country and around the world, we can’t afford to pay a fortune per flight. Luckily, low-cost airlines exist and are even expanding!

Known for being one of the most affordable in Canada, Flair Airlines have established a new Calgary base, meaning more cheap flights and over 150 new jobs for pilots, attendants and ground staff in the area.

“This announcement further cements Calgary as an accessible city in a variety of ways,” said City of Calgary Deputy Mayor Courtney Walcott.

“With the addition of a new Flair Airlines base in YYC, more Calgarians will be able to travel to places where they can spend their money at their destination, rather than on how they got there. With affordability top of mind for Calgarians, the addition of Flair Airlines to Calgary International Airport (YYC) couldn’t have come at a better time.”

According to the company, Flair hopes to add three aircraft, a maintenance facility and a hangar by July 2023.

In addition to this, Flair will introduce four new destinations which will include London, Ontario (launching in July), Las Vegas, Nevada, Phoenix, Arizona, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (taking flight this fall) with more to come in the future.
