Summer is nearly here and if you’re among the many eager to go camping there are a few things you should keep in mind before packing up.
As we’re sure you’re aware, this season got off to an incredibly dry start causing various wildfires to break out across the province. Luckily, Calgary and Edmonton have officially since dropped their fire bans.

“Edmontonians are now able to use backyard fire pits and BBQs, cooking stoves, and backyard smokers that use wood and briquettes, as well as use open burning and fireworks permits,” the city wrote in tandem with Calgary.
This, however, doesn’t mean we’re all out of the woods yet.
Various other restrictions are still in place and (at the time of publication) fires are prohibited in the following areas:
