Family Day weekend is the perfect time to gather your loved ones for one of the last times you may be able to hit up a local outdoor rink such as Nathan Phillips Square. Check out the City of Toronto’s rinks here, where you can also see what times the rinks will be open and their status of them.

Museums

We couldn’t narrow it down to just one. Toronto is full of amazing museums and some will be open on Family Day and Family Day Weekend. Museum of Illusions, Toronto Railway Museum, Bata Shoe Museum, Gardiner Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario will all be open all weekend long, including Monday.

Ripley’s Aquarium is extending its hours all Family Day weekend meaning you should have lots of time to pop by. The hours for the aquarium are being extended to 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM from Friday, February 16th – Monday, February 19th. Get tickets here.

Family Fishing

How about a fishing trip for Family Day weekend? Four times a year, Canadian residents can fish in Ontario for free. This means you do not need to buy a fishing licence. Family Day Weekend at Celebration Square

Celebration Square in Mississauga is welcoming Family Day Weekend with music, hands-on activities, performances at Living Arts Centre, a family buffet, a market and ice skating.

Family Day Weekend at Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo is holding a special weekend-long event to celebrate Family Day and the zoo’s 50th anniversary! There will be a Blue’s Clues Meet and Greet, an Orchard Oasis at the Greenhouse, and of course their regular animal exhibits.
