Some Ontario parks are reaching their fall colour peak and here’s where

Fall walks are a crucial activity this time of year in Ontario. The province is full of lush parks, and as the leaves start to change, the window of time where the colours are at their peak is short. Well, Ontario Parks keeps track of that for you with its fall colour map, and if you want to get out to enjoy the views this weekend, these are the spots you’re going to want to jot down.

The map Ontario Parks uses a colour-coded system to show which parks’ fall colours are peaking. Currently, these are the parks that are boasting the best shades of red, orange and yellow.

• Lake Superior Provincial Park
  Colour Change: 50 per cent
  Leaf Fall: 10 per cent
• Arrowhead Provincial Park
  Colour Change: 50 per cent
  Leaf Fall: 10 per cent
• Oxtongue River-Ragged Falls Provincial Park
  Colour Change: 50 per cent
  Leaf Fall: 10 per cent
• Algonquin Provincial Park
  Colour Change: 70 per cent
  Leaf Fall: 10 per cent
• Lake St. Peter Provincial Park
  Colour Change: 50 per cent
  Leaf Fall: 20 per cent
• Bon Echo Provincial Park
  Colour Change: 50 per cent
  Leaf Fall: 20 per cent
