Halloween is nearly here and the parties in Calgary are out of this world. Heck, some of them are kind of out of this dimension if you really believe! This weekend, check out ‘Fairmont Awakens’ at the Palliser, an extravagant event held in celebration of the spookiest day on the calendar.

Featuring live music by local funk bands, Freak Motif and The Rondel Roberts Band, guests are encouraged to sip, savor and even have a fright or two in the Hawthorne Dining Room – but that’s not all!

In addition to having drinks and grabbing a bite – the Palliser has also welcomed a tarot card reader and haunted tour guides who are ready and willing to give you insight into your future… or tell you about Calgary’s haunting past.

This ghost walk will be the first of its kind at the inner city castle and will also explore other spooky sites within walking distance – including The Bank and Baron and Knox United Church, which is confirmed to be the most haunted location in Calgary by paranormal investigators (who will be in attendance.)

In fact, it’s this team of skeptics that recently brought their equipment to the hotel and it’s on Sunday that they’ll reveal the results of their investigation.

The best part? Not only will the proceeds of this event be donated to AARCS, those who would like to stay the night will be able to do so for only $99 – which is practically unheard of.

Interested? The Palliser Awakens will be free to attend – but if you’d like to join the ghost tour, we’d recommend you get tickets beforehand.

Enjoy and happy ghost hunting!
