Ever played pickleball? Well now is your chance! Fairgrounds Public Racket Club is opening a new location in Vancouver.

Described as “a new type of club,” Fairgrounds is a community hub that welcomes all players to enjoy games of pickleball and padle.

For those who may not know what pickleball is, it’s a combination of badminton, tennis, and ping pong.

And it’s going to be huge! Just like its Toronto location,  expect the same great fun, along with coaches, food and drink options, Friday night socials, and merch to check out.

Fairgrounds opened its first pickleball pop-up in Toronto back in 2022, featuring five pickleball courts, rotating food and beverage offerings, and weekly programs like free-play opportunities, drop-in sessions for all, and even a dedicated court time for Toronto’s youths.

And as for expansion plans, they have some big moves for 2024. According to the Fairgrounds website, they plan to have over 60 courts open across Canada.

“Our community will span from Vancouver to Halifax and we’ll have everyone playing.”

It’ll open its first location in Toronto this February and a third in Ontario at Assembly Park this spring.

Fairgrounds Public Raquet Club is absolutely free to join and there are no membership fees.
