Edmonton’s new food hall just opened steps from Rogers Place with 5 different concepts

Just in time for the start of the hockey season, a new food hall has opened right beside Rogers Place in Edmonton! The ambitious concept comes from the folks at JustCook Kitchens, and has a few different options for you to try during your visit. Let’s check it out!

Basically, JustCook wants to create a space where Edmonton food concepts can come together under one roof, saving costs and letting the chefs focus on the food. While it’s the first one in Edmonton, food halls have proven successful all around the world, from New York to Lisbon.

There are four different concepts inside the 5th Street Food Hall, and since they all sound equally interesting, we should probably give them the attention they deserve.

Backstairs Burger

This spot only opened last summer, but has already become a must-try for burger lovers around the city. Keep it classic, or try one of their delicious features.

HOM

Soups, salads, sides and more are all waiting for you at this South Asian street food spot. Share some lettuce wraps and a couple more small dishes with friends before the game, and thank yourself afterwards.

SEITANS

There’s even a plant-based option in here! Seitans specializes in comfort options like vegan fried chikun and pizza, plus some delicious plant-based sides to go with it.

3 Foodies

Speaking of comfort food, the final spot on this list has got it in spades. 3 Foodies focuses on classic diner picks and Southern-style barbeque, ranging from ribs to pulled pork and more.

Well folks, you’ve got options, and we say you should try them all! Keep this new food fall in Edmonton in mind before your first Oilers game of the season, you’ll be happy you did.
