You might love pizza, but do you love it enough to eat 200 slices? This Edmonton pizza shop claims to have the world’s largest deliverable pizza, and honestly, we believe them.
If you’ve got a big event with lots of people to feed, then you better call Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria in Edmonton. As confirmed by Curiocity, they offer the Giant Sicilian Pizza, which measures a whopping 54 x 54 inches, and requires at least two people to carry it – but you might be safer with four!
A massive pizza means a massive oven, and that’s exactly what they use to cook this bad boy. All ingredients, including the pizza dough, are made fresh in-house. After the dough has had time to proof, the pizza is placed in an enormous double-sided oven where it is rotated periodically for even cooking.
You can get up to four toppings on the Giant Sicilian, although there is the option to customize it further if you like. The pizza arrives pre-cut into 200 slices, which can feed about 50 to 60 people.
It’s so big, that the restaurant had to get a custom roof rack installed on their delivery vehicle! Before that, they were renting Home Depot vans. It’s just that big.
Big Mama’s & Papa’s is no stranger to unusual pizza orders. They also have the Big Mama’s slice, which is about the size of your head, and a Big Papa’s slice, which is about as big as a human torso and can feed five to seven people.
There’s also an adorable (and normal-sized) heart-shaped pizza, which is perfect for a romantic movie night!
If you want to order the Giant Sicilian Pizza for a big event, you’ll have to call ahead. Since the pizza dough is made in-house, Big Mama’s & Papa’s requires a minimum of 24 hours advance notice (but more time is better!). This is necessary to allow sufficient time for the dough to proof.
This hefty pizza will cost you about $350 to $400, depending on your choice of toppings, and requires that you provide a payment method in advance. Don’t worry, you’re not charged until after delivery!
