New season, new career change? The City of Seattle is hiring right now for over 100 different jobs, and it’s easy to apply! There’s something for everyone, from administration and operations, to finance and skilled trades.
They even have positions for temporary or part-time work, so take a look and see what suits you.
You already know that Seattle is a great place to live, but turns out the city is also a fantastic place to work!
With thousands of job titles, 26 different operating departments, and nearly 10,000 employees, working for the city means competitive pay and benefits packages, generous leave programs, and the knowledge that you’re helping make the city a better place.

Applying online is easy! Just click on the posting that interests you and hit the green ‘APPLY’ button. The website will prompt you to make an account, and from there you just follow the on-screen instructions to fill out an application.
The City of Seattle may conduct interviews by phone, video call, and/or in-person depending on the position and accommodations required. In-person interviews may be one-on-one or with a panel. If you’re selected to interview, you’ll be told what to expect in advance, so don’t stress!
