Edmonton is about to get an all-new natural wine bar

Wine lovers, get ready, because a new natural wine bar has just announced that it’s opening in Edmonton this summer. There’s little info available on Darling Wine Bar, but dang it, we’re too excited to not share the news!

From what we’ve gathered, Darling Wine Bar is actually going to be a pop-up format. And, based on the fact that they’re already following Take Care Cafe and the associated Weekly Hair Salon, we’re thinking this is going to take place at the cafe on Whyte Ave.

Which makes sense, since our co-workers in Vancouver and Toronto have been raving about cafes with wine bar concepts inside for a couple of years now. So, we’re happy that Edmonton is finally getting a similar concept! Especially when it’s looking like Darling is sourcing from some of Alberta’s top natural wine importers.

Still not completely sure what ‘natural wine’ means? Basically, it’s an umbrella term for wine produced without any additives in the fermentation process. So, anything from a heavy Bordeaux blend to a sparkling rosé can be a natural wine.

And, hopefully, we’ll have tons of different ones to try out at Darling! We’re keeping a close eye out for updates, so we’ll keep you in the loop as well!
